Paulla Rich Estes holds a Master’s in Fine Arts from the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast Program, a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from George Mason, and a book coaching certification through Author Accelerator. She teaches adult education writing classes, has worked as a tutor at the University of Southern Maine’s Writing Center, as Nonfiction Editor of the Stonecoast Review, and as Editor-in-Chief of the Naval Postgraduate School’s Classmate Magazine. She has also worked as a communications and marketing director at a nonprofit, and as a bookseller in a small, independent bookstore.

Her work has appeared in The Coachella Review, The Coastal Journal, Antiques & Collectibles, The Writer’s Journal, and The Providence Journal.

Raised at the base of the Colorado Rockies, Paulla has spent most of her adult life on the East Coast. She now lives in Maine with her husband and a German Shepherd named Dinah.
